This year, the rally is centered in Armagh and Tyrone, running across April 18th and 19th. While the event no longer spans the country, it still carries the spirit of its rich history. Many stage names remain unchanged—iconic echoes that will strike a chord with longtime fans.
Defending Circuit of Ireland champions Matt Edwards and David Moynihan head a stellar entry list for the Dungannon-based event, which serves as Round 2 of the NAPA Auto Parts Irish Tarmac Rally Championship. Edwards is aiming for redemption after retiring from the season opener in West Cork.
That West Cork round was won by Keith Cronin, making him the favorite going into the Circuit for many fans and pundits.
2023 Irish Tarmac Champion Callum Devine, now recently married, returns to competition after skipping West Cork. He's been in superb form since switching mid-season last year to the Skoda Fabia Rally2.
Josh Moffett and Andy Hayes—always a threat—are seeded fourth in a Citroen and hungry for their first ITRC win in two years.
2023 McEvoy Motorsport Modified ITRC champions Eddie Doherty and Tom Murphy are seeded fifth, followed by 2013 overall champion Garry Jennings, who lines up sixth alongside co-driver Rory Kennedy after strong showings at the Tour of the Sperrins and the Manx Rally.
Also in the Rally2 mix and rounding out the top ten are Cathan McCourt, Ryan Loughran, Declan Boyle, and David Kelly—each a serious contender in their own right.
In the Modified class, Frank and Lauren Kelly will be looking to bounce back after a late misfire cost them victory in West Cork. They’ll renew their battle with Damian Toner, while David Moffett, Michael Cahill, and Brian Lavelle join the fight among the two-wheel-drive competitors.
The 2025 Circuit of Ireland begins on Friday, April 18th, with two runs through the Ivy Hill stage. Saturday’s schedule features nine more stages to wrap up what promises to be a thrilling weekend of rallying.
