What happens if I miss my MOT appointment in Northern Ireland?
If you miss the appointment without cancelling, you lose the fee and must pay again for another test.
If you do not cancel and then miss your Northern Ireland MOT appointment, DVA says you will lose the test fee. You will need another booking and must pay the full fee again.
If you know you cannot attend, change or cancel the appointment before the deadline.
A missed test is different from an MOT failure: there is no examination result to work from, so you simply need a new appointment and another fee.
