Where should you park when visiting Belfast city centre?

There is no single Belfast city-centre car park that is best for every visit. The centre is compact enough to walk across, but driving from one side to the other can be slower than simply choosing the right car park at the start.

For **Royal Avenue, CastleCourt and the Cathedral Quarter**, CastleCourt's multi-storey and the council car parks around Little Donegall Street and Corporation Street are practical choices. For the **City Hall / Great Victoria Street side**, Little Victoria Street or another southern city-centre car park usually makes more sense. If you are heading for **St George's Market, Waterfront Hall or Lanyon Place**, park on the eastern side rather than crossing the centre by car.

Belfast City Council operates both free and charged off-street car parks and publishes the current tariff, opening arrangements, accessible bays and RingGo details for each one. Check the council list before setting off if price matters, because the best-value option depends on how long you are staying.
