From Belfast, the official directions take you toward **Old Milltown Road**, where the forest entrance is signposted. Do not confuse the forest with nearby Belvoir Park Golf Club or try to create an unofficial start from one of the surrounding residential roads.

The car park sits where the former estate house once stood, and the forest trails radiate from this area. That makes it more useful than roadside parking even if another map pin appears closer to the River Lagan.
