Where should you park when visiting Derry city centre?

Derry has several useful city-centre car parks, so the best choice depends on what you are visiting.

For the **City Walls, Diamond and St Columb's Cathedral side**, **Bishop Street** council car park is particularly useful. For the **Bogside and Museum of Free Derry**, **William Street** is a better fit. For general city-centre shopping and attractions, the larger **Foyleside East/West** and **Quayside** multi-storeys give substantially more capacity than the small surface car parks.

Derry City and Strabane District Council publishes the current spaces and tariffs for its council-operated car parks, including Bishop Street, Foyle Street, Queens Quay, Society Street, Strand Road, Victoria Market and William Street.

Once parked, the historic core is compact enough to explore on foot, so choose the right side at the start rather than moving the car between attractions.
