Where should you park when visiting Dunluce Castle?

The practical answer

**Dunluce Castle is at 87 Dunluce Road between Portrush and Bushmills.** Use the signed visitor parking serving the castle rather than stopping on the A2.

The castle-side parking is relatively small and can fill when coaches and summer traffic arrive together. A useful fallback is **Magheracross**, which Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council lists as a **free public car park** nearby. It also gives a well-known viewpoint back toward Dunluce Castle.

Do not use the roadside as overflow: the A2 at Dunluce is busy and exposed, and there is no benefit in creating a dangerous walk along the carriageway simply to save a few minutes.

If you only want the classic exterior photograph rather than paid castle entry, Magheracross may actually be the better stop.
