Where should you park when visiting Portstewart?

For **Portstewart town/promenade**, Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council lists several **free** public car parks, including **Harbour Hill, the Diamond, Lever Road and the Pits Area**.

Choose by what you are doing: Harbour Hill is useful for the harbour/prom-side end, while the Diamond and other small lots can suit the town centre.

If your actual destination is **Portstewart Strand**, do not use the town car parks and expect a short walk. The Strand is a separate National Trust property with its own beach parking and its own charge/access arrangements.

That distinction matters in busy summer weather: “Portstewart” and “Portstewart Strand” are different parking decisions.
