Cam Cars NI used cars in Newtownabbey

Got a great second hand citreon here a few months ago. Walked in to view and drove away with it. Car runs great and service has been brilliant including support fixing a couple of small issues that arose during the warranty period. Much appreciated folks!

Think twice before going to buy a car from Cam Cars. I bought a Land Rover from them at the End of August and have had nothing but issues with the car since getting it. I was never given a sales invoice for the car at the time of buying and have since asked for it without any reply. I had to sort getting the V5 directly from the DVLA as they never sent the paper work away. The same is said after the car I traded in as I’m now getting letters from the DVLA about taxing my old car. I requested multiple times for this to be done but never got anywhere. This is a common theme as I have had multiple emails, Facebook messages and calls ignored with the promise of someone getting back to me later in the day. They have had the car twice to sort a list of issues with the main one being a fault in the gearbox. The first time I was told all issues have been fixed but when I let them know the issues hadn’t been fixed I was told that the mechanic couldn’t find the issue. The second time I had to wait for it to go to another mechanic as the lift in their garage wasn’t able to get the car high enough to have a proper look.

In total I was without the car for almost 2 weeks. After getting the car back the second time with a few smaller issues fixed but the main ones were still there along with a new warning on the dash that wasn’t there prior to leaving it in. I asked to return the car for a refund as I was still within the time allowed to do so. With a bit of persuasion I was told they were going to come and lift the car and give me my money back. I waited two days but heard nothing. After phoning back I was then told that this wasn’t going to happen and wanted to have another look at it. The car is now sat useless in the drive while I wait to go to court to get my money back.

Drove the whole way up from Lisburn to look at a car after being told that it would be waiting there for me to look at. Got there only to be told that it was in the workshop having repairs done as someone else wanted to buy it. Left my details as they said I could look ant it when back from workshop and they never even bothered to get in touch, very unprofessional behaviour. Won’t be back
