Terrible experience with James at the Omagh branch. I bought a van in January that needed discs and pads all round. I was then called and told it only needed the front discs, and they were planning to refit the old used pads with the new discs — completely unacceptable and unsafe. It seemed like James didn’t want to deal with the issue, so I was passed over to the Belfast branch. Since then, Belfast have replaced all discs and pads properly and completed a couple of minor warranty jobs with no problems at all. Looking back through emails, James had originally told me the van had been fully serviced and ready to go before collection. However, when I later contacted the Omagh branch, I was informed that no such service had actually been carried out. Based on my experience, I would avoid this place. I felt I was sold an unfit and unsafe vehicle and misled about the servicing work completed.

I recently purchased a used car from Desmond Motors, Omagh, and I was very happy with the overall experience. The deal I negotiated on my trade-in was fair, and Paul, the Salesperson, was fantastic to work with—friendly, professional, and extremely helpful throughout the process. Unfortunately, a couple of days after taking the car home, it developed a fault that hindered its performance (not a failure of the garage). Living in County Down, I couldn’t easily return the car to Omagh. However, Rory, the Senior Service Advisor, stepped in and provided outstanding service. He arranged for my car to be collected, repaired, and returned to me—all within just two days. I was also offered a courtesy car if needed, which was a great reassurance. The after-sales service was truly top-class, giving me complete confidence in their support should I ever need it again. I highly recommend Desmond Motors for their excellent customer care, both during and after the sale.

I would highly recommend Desmond Motors Omagh for anyone looking a used car and great customer service. Raymond from Sales, was very patient with me taking the time to understand exactly what I was looking for which made the whole experience much easier. Nothing was a problem for Raymond and I will definitely return as a repeat customer when the time comes to trade in again. The after sales service is also very accommodating, with friendly staff all round. Well done guys.
