From the moment we first enquired about the car we had interest in Alice was very professional and helpful. We went to look at the car on the Saturday, after test drive we have some very minor requests that Alice dealt with promptly, ultimately made the purchase and had the car the following week. This was the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Bought an A4 and within 2 weeks DPF light came on as wasn’t doing the regen. They took car back and done a forced regen. Within 3 days light was back on again. They took back and sorted the issue. 2 weeks later a ‘’generic fault light’’ came on. They took car back and done a plug and changed a part. I was told they didn’t know what the issue was and it was trial and error. In the first 3 months they had the car more than me. I said I wasn’t happy with the car and wanted a refund. They offered me over £3000 less than what was paid for the car 3 months ago. At least 2 more parts were changed on the car and still the problem was there. I had asked a few times before could my own mechanic look at it and they could pay him. I was told no it wasnt possible. I then received a phone call to say my mechanic could look at it as they had mechanics on holiday but he was to ring them so they could advise what parts they had changed. Car went to my own mechanic who done is own plug. My mechanic rang me and said I thought they changed that sensor as it’s still an original sensor that is in the car. Rang JRC and they said I told you the mechanic wasn’t to touch the car until I spoke with him to tell him what parts were changed. I asked him again did they change the sensor which he replied yes. I said my mechanic advised me it is still an original sensor. JRC then said oh we took one off another A4 from the yard. I was really shocked at this and asked if it was their practice to use second hand parts on their cars . I advised him my mechanic has gone ahead and put a new sensor in the car. He replied that won’t work and car will be back with us before the weekend. He said tell your mechanic to keep the receipt so he can send the sensor back. What a statement by the way. Anyway car has given no bother since my mechanic put the new sensor in. All I can say is the way JRC dealt with me was disgusting. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
