Called at lunchtime on Friday to make arrangements to call and view an Amarok that was advertised for sale told them I would be there first thing. So 08:00 Saturday morning off I went with a bit of excitement that I was getting a new to me pickup. Arrived there at 09:00 which was early as I was told by the person that I was talking to on Friday 09:30 before the sales guy would be there. Still a bit of excitement as I was waiting. When the sales guy arrived we went to view the pickup the first thing I noticed was the dirt on it to which the sales guy said someone was test driving it last night which I replied where to Cork city. The more I looked at it the bonnet was badly stone chipped and they were all starting to rust which to be fair a buff and touchup pen would probably sort out. I complained about the time that I called at yesterday and thought they would have at least washed the pickup but was still interested in it. Carried on looking at it and there was a couple of other issues that I mentioned. (A trim missing from the rear bumper, no engine cover) starting to feel a bit deflated but still very interested so went in to talk money at which point I realised the sales guy was hanging like a set of cheap curtains. NOW considering it was advertised for £16950 plus VAT and there was £3-400 worth of preparation that hadn’t been done I asked for the best price at which point the sales guy asked for £17800 I thought for a second that this was including the VAT and there were discounting for there lack of preparation to the pickup but that was not the case. Thanks but no thanks Craig. The only reason this is a 2star is because the person I was talking to on Friday seamed very friendly and helpful pity he wasn’t there on Saturday
