IVA 1LG is the Individual Vehicle Approval application used for relevant N1 light goods vehicles in Northern Ireland.
It can apply to imported, amateur-built, rebuilt, very-low-volume and other light goods vehicles requiring individual approval.
The application asks for applicant and owner information, VIN, vehicle class, build information and detailed vehicle specifications.
Have the vehicle VIN, make and model, date of manufacture, registration history and any supporting approval documents available.
A goods vehicle requiring a passenger-vehicle test may need IVA 1C instead, so check the vehicle class before applying.
