How does Blue Badge short-stay parking work at Belfast City Airport?
Belfast City Airport offers Blue Badge holders up to two hours of free Short Stay parking when dropping off or collecting a passenger, subject to the airport’s validation process.
Local car park, route and access details
The airport says the driver must present the entry ticket and valid Blue Badge at the Car Park Assistance Office before exiting. The ticket can then be validated for a stay of up to two hours. If the stay has exceeded two hours, normal parking charges apply. Designated Blue Badge spaces are also available across the airport’s car parks, but the free short-stay arrangement has a specific procedure rather than working automatically in every car park.
What to check before travelling
On arrival, follow the airport’s Short Stay and accessibility signs and display the badge clearly. If pre-booking, select the correct car park because the airport says bookings are not transferable between car parks. If assistance is required, use the intercom or contact the airport’s Special Assistance team. Check the current airport rules if your trip involves a vehicle other than the badge holder’s usual car.
