Is Ballywalter Beach a better parking stop than an unmarked roadside stretch of the Ards coast?

Ballywalter Beach has an identified visitor parking area on Springvale Road, alongside toilets, disabled parking and a playground.

That makes it a more dependable stopping place than an arbitrary verge along the Ards Peninsula coast. The beach is accessible all year and has rock pools and walking space, but drivers still need to follow current car park signs. Do not park across coastal property entrances or treat the access to a slipway as general vehicle parking.
