Local car park, route and access details

Railway Road is the larger of the two, with 321 published spaces. Railway Place has 156. These are distinct car parks with separate entrances, even though both names reference the railway area. The council also lists other charged Coleraine sites, including Abbey Street, Long Commons and the Mall, so “parking near the station” should not be confused with free parking at every nearby site.

What to check before travelling

For a rail journey, check the walking route from the car park to your actual platform and whether your intended return time creates a parking issue. The council tariff is a parking rate, not confirmation that a vehicle can be left for multiple days. Always check posted stay limits and any overnight conditions before leaving on a long train trip.
