What to bring to your NI practical driving test.

Arrive with the documents and suitable vehicle required for your category. Check your appointment instructions because missing requirements can stop the test going ahead.

Bring the driving-licence documents required by your appointment.
Use an appropriately insured, licensed and roadworthy test vehicle.
Make sure the vehicle meets the DVA category requirements and displays the required L plates.

Before leaving home

Check your appointment time and location, licence, glasses or contact lenses if required, vehicle fuel/charge, tyres, lights and warning lamps.

Arrive ready, not rushed

Allow enough travel time to reach the centre and report as instructed. Last-minute rushing is avoidable pressure before the test.
