CM Cars NI used cars in Ballymoney

If I could give a 0 star I would STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. Got a Peugeot 2008 with low miles and loads of problems. Picked the car up and it was dirty, and two of the windows weren’t working even though it had supposedly just passed an MOT that same day. The car went back in to get the windows fixed, which was sorted, tho there was no courtesy car told it would only take a hour to fix that I could wait ended up waiting 5 hours on the car to be fixed. but then an oil leak appeared. I brought the car back three times for the oil leak and it was never fixed. I was also told at the time of sale that the timing belt had been replaced. Later, when I took the car to my own mechanic to finally sort the oil leak, he told me the timing belt was close to snapping and that there was no evidence any work had ever been done on the car. When I spoke to Ryan about the oil leak, he said it’s a 10-year-old car and that all cars leak oil, even saying every car on his lot has an oil leak and that he thinks it’s fine to sell them like that. I completely disagree — especially when customers aren’t told about it and are told work has been done when it hasn’t. In the end, I had to pay £560 myself to get the timing belt and cam box done just to fix the oil leak. I gave Ryan every chance to put things right — I emailed, messaged on WhatsApp, and called — but got no response at all. Very disappointed with the experience and the lack of care once the sale was done. I would stay well clear of this place they take your money and fix nothing on the cars shocking place.

Avoid at all costs! I could write a book about my experiences with this outfit but my main advice is go elsewhere. Car had problems from day 1 and their communication to help was non existant. Even when problems were fixed they refused to tell me the apparent outsourced company who had carried out the work so we could get them to stand over the issues. Save yourself time, money and energy and seek out a real dealership. The 5 star reviews on this one are clearly fake.

I ment to leave a review ages ago on this shocking car sales yard. I bought a discovery 4x4 off them. I was dealing with Ben. From start to finish it was a disaster. Stay clear. Don't believe the fake 5 star reviews .

When I bought a car from them, after 2 months the check engine light came on and there was water in the filter After contacting them, they told me to bring the car in and the guy who worked there told me to change the fuel filter - that was the second new filter 🤣🤣. When I took the car in for service, the car didn't pass the service, the mechanic estimated the repair at £4000. And even though I contacted them, I haven't heard anything from them since October... If I were to buy another car now, it definitely wouldn't be from CM CARS NI..

Richard from CM Cars went out of his way to help my son buy his first car. We saw online a blue clio, but couldn't get up to see it to the weekend as we were 42 miles away. When I phoned Richard said he would send a video of the car inside and out and it was in very good condition. My son was very pleased and excited. So that day I put down a deposit. We did go and see it just to make sure and we picked it up on the Saturday. Richard wasn't there but the other staff were just as friendly and help also. Had a very good experience with this company. As a single mum I don't know much about cars, but this company went way out to help. Thank you to Richard and to CM Cars.
