2025 Irish Escort Club Inishowen Run and Show
The cars left Muff on a 100-mile run through the scenic routes of Inishowen, heading for Clonmany and Ramore Gap before climbing over Knockalla — the iconic Donegal Rally stage known for its breathtaking views and challenging twists. The convoy of Escorts and other classic Fords made an impressive sight as they wound their way through this famed driving territory, offering stunning panoramas at every turn.
Saturday’s run delivered a truly memorable experience. Participants revelled in the drive, soaking in the beauty of Donegal’s rugged landscapes while giving their machines a proper stretch on roads that have tested some of rallying’s finest. The spirit of the run reflected the heart of the event — great cars, great company, and great roads.
Sunday gathered crowds at Muff Play Park for the much-anticipated show. The club set a goal of assembling 50 Mk2 Escorts, a figure easily surpassed with a total of 76 Escorts present. Alongside them was a fantastic selection of classics, including Capris, Ford Sierras, panel vans, a rare Peugeot 205 Dimma, Opel Mantas, Ford Anglias, and a couple of competition-prepared Mk2 Escort rally cars.
Adding to the excitement, the legendary Frank Kelly had his rally car on display, drawing plenty of attention from fans who admired the well-known machine up close.
