Today, Capri Club NI hosted their annual gathering at the Ulster Transport in Holywood, and what an event it was! Running from 10am to 2pm, the day saw an impressive turnout with around 100 cars on display, which is an amazing turn out.
Enthusiasts were treated to a stunning selection of Fords, with plenty of beautifully modified ST models stealing the spotlight thanks to their immaculate finishes and highly detailed engine bays. A large and colourful selection of Mk3 Capris dominated the field, including a particularly striking example finished in a signal orange that caught the eye of many visitors.
Another standout was a pristine white RS Cosworth, which looked absolutely mint and showcased the level of care and restoration that owners have put into their vehicles. Capri Club NI were also joined by Mondeo Club NI, who turned up with a strong lineup of cars, including a rare lime green Mondeo that attracted a lot of attention.
Among the vehicles on show was a navy blue Escort panel van, a few morris minors, and a lovely silver Fiesta that shone in the afternoon sun. American muscle fans were not left disappointed either, as a host of Mustangs made an appearance, including a particularly striking bumblebee-yellow 5.0L Mustang that looked every bit the rocket it sounds.
One car that particularly stood out was a bright red four-door Mk2 Escort — a real head-turner and a fantastic example of this classic model.
Although there was some light rain earlier in the day, the weather soon improved with the sun breaking through to leave a warm and pleasant afternoon, perfect for wandering the park and admiring the cars. Overall, it was a fantastic day for Capri fans and Ford lovers alike, with great cars, a great atmosphere, and a brilliant showing of passion and dedication from everyone involved. Roll on next year!
