The car meet held at Modern Tyres in Carnbane on Sunday, 27th July, saw an impressive turnout, with well over 50 cars in attendance and a great crowd of enthusiasts walking the grounds throughout the day. The atmosphere was vibrant, with a diverse range of vehicles on display, showcasing everything from modern performance machines to classic icons.
One of the standout cars was a spotless BMW E30 325i Sport sitting neatly on a set of BBS wheels – a perfect example of timeless German engineering and style. JDM fans were also well represented with not one, but two Nissan GT-Rs stealing attention. The R33 GT-R was particularly notable for its heavily modified engine bay and enormous turbo setup, while the R35 Skyline brought modern flair and performance.
Ford made a strong showing at the meet, with multiple Focus STs and RS models – both new and old – on display, many finished in the eye-catching signature orange. These were a big hit with fans of the Blue Oval.
Among the rarer highlights was a maroon SF90 Ferrari, drawing plenty of attention with its sleek lines and exotic presence. Classic car lovers were also well catered for, with a nostalgic selection that included a Toyota Supra, a clean MR2, a Mk2 Ford Fiesta, a Ford Anglia, and even a Ford RS200 – a true motorsport legend.
Rounding out the day was the return of an old favourite: a Phoenix Yellow BMW E46 M3. Always a crowd-pleaser, the car remains a symbol of BMW's performance legacy.
Overall, the meet was a huge success, bringing together a fantastic mix of cars and a friendly, enthusiastic crowd. Modern Tyres Carnbane once again proved to be a top venue for car culture in the region.
