It was a stunning day in the Sperrins, with glorious sunshine, 14°C temperatures, and not a cloud in the sky – the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day of rallying. The conditions set the stage for high-speed action, close battles, and a truly electric atmosphere.

🏆 Overall Winners

Congratulations again to Garry Jennings and Rory Kennedy, who clinched the overall victory in their new Ford Fiesta Rally2. A flawless performance saw them top the timesheets with a total of 35:23.4, fending off the hard-charging Aidan Wray and Paddy McCrudden in their Volkswagen Polo GTi Rally2, who finished just +16.9s behind. The podium was completed by Ryan Caldwell and Stephen O’Brien in a strong showing with their Škoda Fabia RS Rally2.

The pair delivered a flying performance in their Ford Fiesta Rally4, consistently clocking stage times right on the heels of the top 2WD contenders. Their pace and precision earned them a top-20 overall finish, a standout achievement in a field packed with faster machinery. A hugely well-deserved recognition for a stellar drive. 👏

🔧 2WD Battle Heats Up

The 2WD category delivered a thrilling subplot, with margins razor-thin after Stage 4 of 6:

1️⃣ David Bogie – 24:53.0

2️⃣ Damian Toner – +9.2s

3️⃣ Gareth Irwin – +9.5s

Just 0.3 seconds separate Toner and Irwin heading into the final two stages, while only a tenth of a second split Bogie and Irwin through Gortanewry – a true showcase of competitive rallying at its finest.
