Local car park, route and access details

The attraction’s own directions say drivers from Belfast can follow the A2 coastal road via Carrickfergus and turn onto the B90 Island Lower Road, then follow the brown signs. The visitor centre provides a place to park, toilets and the pre-walk briefing. The operator asks visitors to arrive 15 minutes before their booked tour. Visitors should not drive directly to the cliff path expecting a separate convenient start-point car park.

What to check before travelling

Book the walk before travelling, because admission is on guided tours and availability is limited. The centre warns that bad weather can lead to closures. Wear suitable footwear and allow time for the shuttle and safety instructions. Parking at the visitor centre is part of planning the experience, not a substitute for an advance tour booking.
