Parking and city access

Why is a Lisburn street parking payment not necessarily valid in nearby Hillsborough?

Lisburn’s town-centre on-street charged bays form part of a DfI controlled parking zone.

Royal Hillsborough is a different settlement with different local parking arrangements, including council off-street facilities. An app or ticket bought for a specific Lisburn location covers that location, not a second town. Use the actual parking signs in Hillsborough and treat any new parking stop as a separate transaction. Do not rely on “Lisburn and Castlereagh area” as if it were one continuous tariff zone.
