Appointment availability can differ between DVA locations, so another centre may sometimes offer a more suitable appointment.
For an ordinary private car, location and appointment timing are normally the main considerations. If the nearest centre has a date that does not work for you, compare other centres you would realistically be prepared to travel to.
For specialist vehicles, the centre itself matters even more because not every DVA location carries out every specialist category. Check the centre's listed vehicle-test services before booking.
After the appointment is confirmed, check the centre, date, time and vehicle details carefully. Then prepare the vehicle rather than leaving obvious faults until test day.
