Can I drive directly from Rostrevor to the top of Slieve Martin?

No public road takes ordinary visitors to the mountain summit as if it were a roadside viewpoint.

Rostrevor and Kilbroney Forest Park provide access to walking routes towards the Slieve Martin area. Drive to an authorised visitor car park, then continue on the appropriate marked walking trail if conditions permit. Do not follow an off-road mapping line through forestry gates, and take account of the mountain terrain and available daylight before leaving the car.
