How do I approach Newry from the A1 if my destination is Camlough rather than the city centre?

Camlough is reached from the southern Newry area rather than by driving straight into the city’s retail centre.

TrafficWatchNI lists a camera specifically at the A1 Camlough junction. If you are travelling south on the A1, use the signs for the relevant Camlough exit and the road onward to your destination. Do not follow generic “Newry centre” instructions when your destination is outside the centre, because this adds unnecessary urban traffic.
