How do I reach Belfast International Airport from the M2 without driving through the city centre?

The airport lies northwest of Belfast rather than on the harbour-side route to Belfast City Airport.

From the M2 corridor, use the signed airport approach through the Templepatrick/A57 area rather than heading towards the city-centre M3 and Sydenham roads. The exact exit depends on where you join the motorway and which local approach is open. Confirm that your navigation destination is Belfast International Airport (BFS), not George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD), before leaving.
