What is the A55 Outer Ring and when is it useful for Belfast drivers?

The A55 Outer Ring links suburbs around Belfast without requiring every journey to pass through the retail city centre.

It includes major junctions around Malone Road, Milltown Road, Upper Knockbreda and Knock Road, which appear in TrafficWatchNI camera listings. It is especially relevant for cross-suburban journeys rather than direct motorway travel. Because the route meets many signalised roads, check traffic at the named junction you will use instead of assuming the whole ring road moves at one speed.
