Which approach to Derry should I use for the Waterside rather than the Cityside?

Derry’s Waterside is east of the River Foyle, while the Cityside includes the historic walled city to the west.

If your destination is the North West Transport Hub or Ebrington, aim for the Waterside address and avoid crossing the river unnecessarily. If it is the Guildhall or City Walls, you will generally need a Cityside approach. Craigavon Bridge and Foyle Bridge are separate crossings, so the best route depends on where you need to finish.
