Which road connects Newcastle and Castlewellan for forest park visitors?

Newcastle and Castlewellan are linked by the A50 corridor.

DAERA gives the A50 northwards from Newcastle as an approach to Castlewellan Forest Park and says the park entrance is signed in Castlewellan. Driving to the village centre is not the same as entering the forest park: follow the park-specific signs for the vehicle entrance. The forest has its own entry and parking arrangements, separate from village parking controls.
