Which road links Bangor to Donaghadee along the east Down coast?

Donaghadee is reached from Bangor by the regional road network along the eastern Ards coast.

It is not necessary to drive south through Newtownards and Portaferry simply to get there. For the harbour or lighthouse area, enter Donaghadee Harbour rather than the centre of Bangor or a generic “Ards Peninsula” search. When you reach Donaghadee, follow local parking signs rather than attempting to stop on the working harbour road.
