GDL creates an optional Category B motorway training module covering motorway signs, signals and driving. It is useful training, but it has a strict supervision rule.
Module 15 is not one of the 14 mandatory Category B modules.
A learner may only drive on a motorway while accompanied by an Approved Driving Instructor.
A parent, friend or other qualified private supervisor cannot take the learner onto a motorway.
Once qualified, the driver no longer needs supervision to use a motorway.
